When she was 18, Audrey Simper realized “photography was my ultimate passion, and that no other career path would ever make me happier.”
Describing her ‘Journey to Happiness’, the Chicago based 21-year-old seems to have taken words spoken by the late Steve Jobs to heart:

The only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it.

She says that it’s not unusual for her to be awake at 3 a.m. editing a batch of photographs. “Fact is, I simply do not want to stop.”
Since starting her company, Audrey Simper Photography, she has already created an impressive body of work for portraits, weddings, fashion and creative.

Would you believe that actress Emma Watson is an introvert?

She credits her introverted personality for her reputation as a non-party girl.

And Watson isn’t alone. Many other successful, smart people are (or were) introverts, like Albert Einstein, J.K. Rowling, Abraham Lincoln and Gwyneth Paltrow.
In an interview with Rookie earlier this year, Watson mentioned the book Quiet, by Susan Cain, saying…

It discusses how [extroverts] in our society are bigged up so much, and if you’re anything other than an [extrovert] you’re made to think there’s something wrong with you.

In the book, Ms Cain wrote extroverts crave external stimulation. Being surrounded by people and lots of noise. Introverts embrace the ‘Power of Quiet.’
In brainstorming sessions and meetings, the more thoughtful and intelligent thinkers are often participants who get drowned out by the more verbal extroverts, which ultimately can harm an organization.
She also referred to a study ”of sixty-four traders at an investment bank, found that the highest-performing traders tended to be emotionally stable introverts.”
Bill Gates, also an introvert, has Susan Cains’ TED Talk, The Power of Introverts listed as one of his favorites.
Quiet is a book worth reading; empowering many introverts who thought they didn’t belong in what seems like an extroverted world; and to understand the ‘power of quiet’, being our most thoughtful and creative in moments of solitude and peace.

At the European Parliament, in Strasbourg, an 18-month old girl votes on the Eurozone debt crisis.
Victoria, the daughter of Licia Ronzulli, has been in attendance with her mother, a Member of the European Parliament, ever since she was a baby.
“The picture of modern motherhood, Ms Ronzulli, from Lombardy, Italy, took multi-tasking to new levels as she carried her daughter, addressed the parliament and checked her Blackberry.”
Licia Ronzulli has an impressive resume, besides being a dedicated mother, now 36 years old, she is a member of the environment, health and food safety commission in Strasbourg and has also worked as a nurse in Milan and Bangladesh before becoming a hospital director and then turning to politics.

We always attract into our lives whatever we think about the most, believe in most strongly, expect on the deepest levels, and imagine most vividly.

The more positive energy we put into imagining what we want, the more it begins to manifest in our lives.

It’s not easy to quit your day job and pursue your passions, and that’s what writer / photographer Nichole Robertson has done, with much success.
When asked, ‘What do you enjoy most about not having a day job’? the creator of the popular website, Little Brown Pen, replied, “As a copywriter, I worked very hard to help build someone else’s business. Now I work hard to build my own. That’s a really good feeling.”
And the advice she would give someone considering a similar path? Nichole says “I think the most important thing is to be passionate about what you do.”
So true.
After moving to Paris in 2009 with her husband and two young sons, Nichole started exploring the city and took photographs, away from the tourist crowds. By ‘happy accident’, she caught on to a theme of Parisian colors, which she now calls the ‘Paris Color Project.’
From there, Chronicle Books published Nicholes first pictorial book earlier this year, ‘Paris in Color,’ and her Etsy store, the Paris Print Shop, offers a showcase of fine art photography from her Project.
