Soraya Darabi has been getting some serious media coverage this week. She’s one of ten hottest web geeks (nerve.com) and featured in a TechCrunch video interview (founder stories).
Julia Allison, who wrote the piece on sexy geeks, wanted to write about “new blood!” rather than the usual suspects. And Soraya seems to be a good choice.
She’s the co-founder of Foodspotting, a website dedicated to foodies who love to travel the globe taking photos of interesting dishes and sharing them with others who might like to try them. Kind of a social network for cuisine ‘geeks.’
In the TechCrunch interview, Soraya talks about how she co-founded Foodspotting and seeking venture funding. She says, “If you are smart and articulate and know your product, nobody can argue with that.”
And… she was asked if she “can beat people up.”  She can.
